Arakelian Enterprises Inc is seeking an Operations Supervisor to manage waste collection routes and driver performance. The role coaches drivers on productivity and safety while adhering to OSHA and DOT regulations. You will plan daily routes and ensure staffing meets service agreements.

The position emphasizes hands-on supervision, collaboration with maintenance and sales teams, and ongoing safety training. A strong regulatory knowledge base and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of management experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledgeable in Federal DOT regulations and OSHA standards.
• Strong leadership abilities.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a related field; AS-400 experience; Class A/B license; waste industry experience; bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsabilités

• Plans, distributes, and follows up daily route assignments.
• Ensures drivers are available and assigned daily, covering absences.
• Monitors daily operations and communicates route changes to drivers.
• Coordinates needs with Maintenance and Operations Manager for routing.
• Monitors driver/helper time and attendance to minimize overtime and comply with regulations.
• Assists in maintenance budget performance.
• Monitors overweight loads and provides guidance to reduce them.
• Performs weekly safety meetings to emphasize safety.
