Job summary

• Health and safety is the top priority and safe work practices must be followed.
• Collect waste and perform bulking, packaging, labeling according to regulations.
• Operate forklifts, trucks and perform drum inspections.
• Support spill response and waste sampling.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Health and safety: Make health and safety the top priority by following all safe work practices, policies, and procedures, and by always working in a safe manner.
• Waste collection: Collect waste from different areas across the customer’s facility as required.
• Chemical bulking: Carry out chemical bulking and consolidation activities safely and in line with compliance requirements.
• Waste packaging and labeling: Package and label waste products correctly to improve efficiency and maintain regulatory compliance.
• Spill response: Support spill response activities at the customer site when needed.
• Equipment operation: Operate forklifts, box trucks, and pick-up trucks safely and responsibly.
• Drum inspection: Inspect drums to confirm container integrity and compliance with applicable regulations.
• Loading and unloading: Ensure waste hauling vehicles are loaded and unloaded safely.
• Waste sampling: Complete waste stream sampling and profiling as required.
• Additional duties: Perform other assigned responsibilities as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Driver’s license: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
• Screening requirements: Ability to successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, depending on the position.
• Respirator compliance: For roles requiring respirator use, employees must meet OSHA respiratory protection requirements, including facial hair standards under 29 CFR 1910.134.
