Waste Pro operates the landfill scale, weighing trucks and recording data for billing while delivering customer service at the scale house. The role requires accurate data entry, cash handling, and daily reporting responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

As part of the scale office team, you will greet the public, process payments, and prepare invoices and deposits, maintaining a safe, organized work area with attention to detail and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in cashiering, customer service, or data entry/bookkeeping is preferred.
• Proficiency in computer software, 10-key calculators, and accurate mathematical skills.
• Experience within Post Collections, Waste industry, or transportation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates the weight station scale.
• Greets and assists the public in a friendly manner providing quality customer service.
• Enters information into computer program on a daily basis.
• Prepares daily deposit.
• Balances and handles cash drawer on a daily basis.
• Answers the phone and checks mail.
• Prepares customer charge account invoices for billing.
• Receives, annotates, and processes payments.
• Prepares monthly and yearly reports as requested.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment in the scale office.
