Job summary

Republic Services in Golden, CO is seeking a Gate Attendant/Scale Operator to accurately monitor waste volumes and collect fees at the post collection site. You will determine content, approve or reject loads, process payments, and balance daily receipts.

Responsibilities include documenting waste via scales, communicating with operations about special loads, answering inquiries, and keeping the site clean. Prior cash handling and computer experience are preferred.

• Experience with computers and software programs.

Responsibilities

• Determine waste content entering the facility to bill customers.
• Accept or reject waste loads based on content and local market training; suggest alternatives.
• Receive payment from customers and provide receipts.
• Balance daily receipts and deposit into the depository.
• Document waste using truck scales and computer systems; track totals.
• Notify operations of special waste or loads and process required paperwork.
• Answer the telephone and provide general information.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
