Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to follow directions from supervisor.
• Ability to perform strenuous and routine work.
• Able to operate a garbage truck and related equipment.
• Must maintain good health and fitness for duties.

Responsibilities

• Empties containers into compactor on garbage truck.
• Operates hydraulic levers located on truck.
• Checks sidewalks and curbs to ensure area is clean.
• Inspects all carts for objects that may damage equipment.
• Picks up trash and assists with street maintenance.
• Maintains communication between staff, visitors, and other contacts.
• Will be required to drive a City vehicle for City business use.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
