Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Jacksonville, NC is seeking a Helper to assist drivers in collecting solid waste and recyclables from customer premises and curbside. You'll help load, sort, and support safe vehicle operation.

You will follow safety rules, wear PPE, and work with a team to improve routing and service quality. No heavy experience required; GED or high school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• Reads, writes, and communicates with others.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with limited supervision.
• Ability to operate equipment necessary for the job.

Responsibilities

• Collect solid waste/recyclables from customer premises or curbside.
• Load waste into the collection vehicle.
• Sort recyclables into proper compartments when applicable.
• Assist driver with safe vehicle operation and backing in tight spaces.
• Ensure PPE is worn and safety rules are followed on all routes.
