Job summary

GFL Environmental is seeking a dedicated Residential Driver in Durham, NC to safely collect solid waste and recyclables on curbside or backdoor routes. You will operate a residential/recycling truck with professional adherence to safety standards and route quality requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED desired.
• Must possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Minimum one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Must meet criteria for safety-sensitive functions per company standards.
• Must demonstrate ability to safely drive the truck and operate the equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a residential/recycling collection truck and ancillary equipment to collect solid waste and/or recyclables.
• Load waste and recyclables into the vehicle rear/side.
• Operate vehicle to compact trash.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and complete required reports.
• Maintain route quality standards as directed by management.
• Ensure PPE is worn at all times and follow safety policies.
