Job summary

The Nature Conservancy in Washington State seeks a WA Conservation Transactions Director to lead the Conservation Transactions Team, align priorities, and guide complex land protection projects across WA and beyond. You will supervise 2-3 professionals, coordinate with legal, finance, and community partners, and drive transactions from planning to completion.

You will represent TNC in negotiations, help secure funds, and ensure conservation outcomes with an emphasis on equity and collaboration

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in natural resources, conservation, business, law or related field.
• Experience negotiating complex real estate or conservation agreements.
• Experience supervising staff and managing teams.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and timelines.
• Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders and partners.
• Proficient with computers and database management.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute conservation transactions across programs to conserve lands and biodiversity.
• Serve as principal project manager or lead negotiator on complex transactions.
• Advise staff and partners on transactional tools for conservation outcomes.
• Collaborate with legal, finance, government relations, marketing, philanthropy, and science teams.
• Support fundraising and donor engagement for land protection projects.
• Prepare project approvals and manage internal approval processes.
