Job summary

The Nature Conservancy in Washington seeks a Washington Conservation Transactions Director to lead a key team in planning, coordinating and implementing real estate and other conservation transactions across the Washington Unit and adjacent regions. You will align conservation efforts with organizational priorities and resolve stakeholder concerns with a methodical approach.

You will lead a talented team, engage with legal, finance, government relations, marketing, philanthropy and science

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in natural resources management, conservation, business, law.
  • Experience negotiating complex agreements.
  • Supervisory experience and multi-project management.
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders and partners.
  • Knowledge of land protection tools and database management.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise 2-3 professional staff and manage the team budget.
  • Negotiate complex conservation real estate transactions with diverse partners.
  • Plan and direct protection projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
  • Represent the Conservancy with external audiences and donors.
  • Support fundraising activities and grant reporting.
