Job summary

Qualifications

• Design, coordinate, and execute conservation transactions across programs to protect lands and increase climate resilience.
• Serve as the principal project manager and negotiator on complex transactions with government agencies, Tribes, and private entities.
• Advise staff and partners on applying transactional tools to advance conservation outcomes.
• Collaborate with legal, finance, government relations, philanthropy, and science teams to deploy protection approaches.
• Support fundraising by preparing public grant proposals and reports.
• Review land ownership information and steward project approvals through internal processes.
• Assist in adjusting land assets by coordinating real estate projects and portfolio changes.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Conservancy in relationships and negotiations with stakeholders and rightsholders.
• Build and sustain relationships with conservation partners including Tribes to implement priorities.
• Partner with Community Relations Managers to engage local community support for conservation efforts.
• Manage a team of 2–3 professional staff and team budget, ensuring alignment with priorities.
• Oversee the workflow of the transactions team to ensure coordinated, sustainable workloads.
