Job summary

Commercial Metals Company in Lexington, South Carolina seeks motivated individuals for opportunities in the steel and construction industries. This role offers training and the chance for career advancement in a supportive environment.

As part of your role, you'll engage in operations with safety regulations, maintain order, and assist in production processes. Ideal candidates will be team players, capable of operating heavy machinery, and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a recycling and/or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Prior knowledge of metal identification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition.
  • Operates production equipment following established procedures.
  • Participates in the CMC Safety Programs.

What You'll Do
  • Maintains work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows safety regulations
  • Operates production equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
  • Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture
  • Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor
What You'll Need
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Able to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Minimum 1 year experience in either recycling and/or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Previous experience operating forklift, skid steer, loader or similar equipment
  • Prior knowledge of metal identification is a plus
Your Education
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
