Job summary

Commercial Metals in Columbia, SC seeks a hands-on team player to support site operations, maintain equipment, and follow safety procedures to ensure smooth production flows.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, working in all weather, and prior experience with forklifts or similar equipment. Training and advancement opportunities are available, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and safety.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in all weather conditions.
• Team player in a fast-paced environment with multitasking, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Minimum 1 year experience in recycling or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Prior experience operating forklift, skid steer, loader or similar equipment.
• Prior knowledge of metal identification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintains work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows safety regulations.
• Operates production equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture.
• Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
