Job summary

ConMet is seeking a Warranty Technician I to join the Warranty department. This onsite role handles warranty returns from inspection to documentation and tracking, with initial failure analysis and collaboration with Warranty, Quality, and Engineering teams.

The role operates at ConMet's Technical Center in Vancouver, WA, with local candidates only and no relocation support. Compensation starts at $20–$36/hour plus benefits, overtime eligibility, and a strong ESOP/401(k) program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Strong knowledge of warranty concepts, repair documentation, service procedures, and quality-control practices.
• Excellent attention to detail with clear, objective documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and service manuals.
• Work safely, follow procedures, and maintain an organized work area.

Responsibilities

• Receive, identify, inspect, document, store, and track returned parts.
• Perform visual inspections, measurements, tests, and basic diagnostic analysis.
• Verify serial numbers, date codes, lot numbers, mileage, and other product information.
• Document inspection findings, photos, test results, and potential failure causes.
• Assist investigations and continuous-improvement activities with Warranty, Quality, and Engineering teams.
