Job summary

Hern Marine is seeking a full-time Warranty Manager to oversee manufacturer warranty claims and act as the primary liaison between customers, technicians, manufacturers, and dealership staff throughout the warranty process.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Experience in warranty administration, marine service, dealership, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of repair orders, service documentation, parts, and warranty processes.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple claims and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with dealer management systems and warranty portals.

Responsibilities

• Manages warranty claims from initial diagnosis through submission, approval, repair, and reimbursement.
• Reviews technician documentation and repair orders to ensure warranty requirements are met.
• Submits claims, prior authorizations, supporting documentation, and required information through manufacturer warranty systems.
• Communicates with manufacturers regarding claim approvals, additional documentation, denied claims, and warranty policies.
• Coordinates with technicians, service staff, and parts personnel to support timely warranty repairs.
• Tracks open claims, warranty parts, credits, payments, and reimbursements.
• Maintains accurate warranty records and organized documentation.
• Explains warranty coverage and claim status to customers clearly and professionally.
• Keeps current knowledge of manufacturer warranty policies, recalls, and campaigns.
• Identifies documentation/process issues that could delay claims or reduce reimbursement.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
