Job description

The Warranty and Claims Specialist is the liaison and primary point of contact between the shop managers and the manufacturer for all warranty-related issues and claims.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced office and/or administrative background
  • Previous waste experience, preferred
  • Truck, shop, and heavy equipment knowledge
  • Filing and record management
  • Able to understand and interpret data
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Accomplished user of common PC software, including MS-Word, MS-Excel with the ability to learn and analyze new applications.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Act as the point of contact for those who have sent in claims
  • Organize, process, and complete paperwork pertaining to claims
  • Ensure correct filing and storage of paperwork and records
  • Liaise with accounting teams to ensure payment is received for any work commissioned
  • Maintain consistent contact with any engineering or technical teams to schedule work carried out as part of a claim
  • Adjust and resubmit denied claims to secure payment for the warranty
  • Arrange for delivery of parts or replacement items if a claim requires it
  • Keep an accurate record of ordered warranty parts and organize vendor paperwork
  • Schedule servicing or repair appointments
  • Keep up to date with company news and policies to ensure claims are being assessed correctly

Schedule: Day shift | Monday to Friday | Weekends as needed
