Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
• 5–10 years in automotive warranty analysis, product engineering, quality engineering, or failure analysis.
• Strong understanding of automotive mechanical systems and fundamental engineering concepts.
• Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings, engineering specifications, and test reports.
• Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed warranty part analysis and failure investigations for returned field components.
• Conduct root cause analysis using 8D, Fishbone, 5 Why, FMEA, and fault tree analysis.
• Analyze failed components related to exhaust systems and related subsystems.
• Support disposition activities including teardown analysis, repairability assessment, and containment actions.
• Collaborate with design engineering, supplier quality, manufacturing, and service teams to drive corrective actions.
• Prepare technical reports and failure summaries for leadership and cross‑functional teams.
• Utilize warranty databases and analytics tools to identify trends and reliability concerns.
• Ensure compliance with APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, and PFMEA.
