Job summary

Volusia Sheriff's Office is seeking a Warrants Specialist to handle warrants, capiases, and injunctions, including FCIC/NCIC data entry and system maintenance. The role requires strict attention to detail and 24/7 availability.

The position involves high-security data handling, background checks, and full FCIC/NCIC certification within six months of hire. Applicants must meet Florida state requirements and pass drug screening.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must meet Florida state applicant requirements under FS 401.465.
• Must obtain FCIC/NCIC Full Access Certification within 6 months of hire and maintain it.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming/outgoing calls to agencies, victims, and personnel.
• Enter, cancel, and modify FCIC/NCIC entries as requested.
• Conduct computerized searches to ensure validity and integrity of FCIC/NCIC data.
• Record messages and information from the public and other sources.
• May train new Warrants Specialists upon hiring.
• Perform routine office tasks such as reports, typing, filing, faxing, and copying.
• Maintain regular and prompt attendance and be available for emergencies.
