Job summary

Rural King in Lebanon, OH is hiring a friendly Cashier to provide accurate service, process transactions, and promote store programs. You’ll greet customers, handle cash and card payments, answer questions, and help maintain clean checkout areas.

The role also involves educating customers about the Rural King Loyalty Program, RK Visa, and RK Plus Protection Plan. A team-focused environment and opportunities for training are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Customer service or retail experience preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable using computers, POS systems, and other technology.
• Ability to accurately handle cash and process transactions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Ability to remain positive, professional, and flexible in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Process cash, credit, debit, and other transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Follow cash-handling procedures for returns, exchanges, layaways, and price disputes.
• Answer customer questions and provide basic product information.
• Educate customers about the Rural King Loyalty Program, RK Visa, and RK Plus Protection Plan (RKPPP).
• Respond to store calls with professional phone etiquette.
• Coordinate with loaders and associates to promptly address customer needs.
• Reconcile registers, complete required paperwork, and maintain accurate records.
• Deactivate EAS devices and spider wraps as needed.
• Maintain checkout areas, carts, restrooms, and service areas.Participate in cross-training and support other store departments as needed.
• Use POS systems, computers, telephones, and other office equipment.
