Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Department Coordinator to support the Warfighter Performance Department at the Naval Submarine Medical Research Laboratory (NSMRL) in Groton, CT. The role focuses on coordinating project communications, budgets, and administrative tasks in a fast-paced research environment.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor's degree, experience in a scientific setting, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. US citizenship and the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance are required.

• US citizenship and ability to obtain SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and summarize progress of projects within the department with summary reports, subject to final Government approval.
• Assist Government PI with implementation of project estimate sheets and ensure periodic spending updates are provided to Department Heads.
• Prepare, review, and disseminate various internal/external communications, subject to final Government approval.
• Assist with tracking the routing of research products.
• Assist with other administrative aspects necessary to the generation of proposals, protocols, presentations, papers, patents, user articles, lay articles, and related knowledge products.
• Assist Government PI with formatting and revisions, submission, and tracking of all administrative, financial, logistical, and scheduling aspects of scientific research within the department, in accordance with Command policy, subject to final Government approval.
• Assist with preparing standard operating procedures/go-by documentation for admin, financial, logistical, and scheduling aspects of scientific research, subject to final Government approval.
• Coordinate SharePoint Government approved document content.
• Ensure communications of scientific research-based requirements are in good style, without typos or grammatical errors.
