Job summary

Responsibilities include working with multi-disciplinary teams on submarine escape and rescue, heat/humidity modeling, literature reviews, and briefings to sponsors. A SECRET clearance and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Engineering, or Math.
• Minimum of eight years of relevant experience.
• Significant experience in engineering, modeling, and operational knowledge of submarines and other enclosed spaces.

Responsibilities

• Provide design, development, test, and evaluation support for procedures, guidance, equipment, and systems to enhance submarine human performance.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary teams on submarine escape and rescue, extending survival on a disabled submarine, and related topics.
• Assist with heat/humidity nomograms, models, and guidance for heat mitigation and escape initiation.
• Review research proposals and manuscripts; brief sponsors and professionals as required.
• Interact with outside customers and researchers; support subcontracted projects.
