Leidos Inc. in Groton, CT, seeks a Mathematical and Fleet Liaison Engineer to support NSMRL. The role covers design, development, testing, and evaluation of procedures, guidance, equipment, and systems to enhance submarine human performance in submarine environments.

Responsibilities include working with multi-disciplinary teams on submarine escape and rescue, heat/humidity modeling, literature reviews, and briefings to sponsors. A SECRET clearance and US citizenship are required.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Engineering, or Math.
• Minimum of eight years of relevant experience.
• Significant experience in engineering, modeling, and operational knowledge of submarines and other enclosed spaces.

Mansioni

• Provide design, development, test, and evaluation support for procedures, guidance, equipment, and systems to enhance submarine human performance.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary teams on submarine escape and rescue, extending survival on a disabled submarine, and related topics.
• Assist with heat/humidity nomograms, models, and guidance for heat mitigation and escape initiation.
• Review research proposals and manuscripts; brief sponsors and professionals as required.
• Interact with outside customers and researchers; support subcontracted projects.
