Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. in Elk Grove, CA is hiring for a Warehouse Associate who will support receiving, picking, packing, and shipping in a fast-paced environment. The role offers a flexible schedule based on business volume and may require up to 29 hours per week.

Training starts day one, with on-the-job instruction and cross-training across warehouse areas. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a refrigerated area as needed.

• Perform housekeeping and inventory control tasks and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Willingness to train and be certified to drive material handling equipment as required by job duty.

Schedule Details

• This roleoperateson a flexible schedule based on business volume.Flex workers aremainly usedto support high-volume days, planned PTOcoverageand high call-off periods.Available shifts may vary by location and week.
• Candidate will be required to work one mandatory shift per week that is scheduled in advance by the business (SUNDAY: 7:30pm - until work is complete usually 4am). Any additional shifts may be selected by candidate
• Create a schedule that works for you by selecting available shifts throughout the week
• Days and hours per week are flexible based on your availability and business needs but will not exceed 29 hours per average on an ongoing basis.
• Once a shift is accepted, candidates are expected to work the full scheduled shift and adhere to standard attendance expectations.
• Receive shift opportunities, work updates, and important announcements directly to your mobile device
• Enjoy the flexibility to manage your schedule without traditional time-off requests
• Accepted shifts are worked until operational work is complete and may extend beyond the estimated end time.
• New hiresmay requirecompletionofa 1–3 dayonboardingrampduring thefirst week or first pay period. Theonboarding schedulewillbe agreed during thejob offer process based on site needs and new-hire availability.

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health

Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Qualifications
