Job summary

Penske Logistics LLC in Shippensburg, PA is seeking a Forklift Operator to join a safety‑focused team in a warehouse environment. You will operate stand up electric clamp forklifts, move materials, and ensure safety and accuracy in daily tasks.

The role offers a 5:30am–3:30pm schedule, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K and an associate referral program, plus a $125 boot allowance after 90 days. Prior warehouse experience is not required but preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required.

Position Details

Monday to Thursday 5:30am-3:30pm

• $20.00 base rate

Job Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads trailers with a stand up electric clamp truck
• Move materials within the warehouse
• Complies with all safety requirements
• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system
• Quality control
• Ensure damaged products are identified and removed when received
• Communicate with associates from other shifts
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs
• Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets
• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
• Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items
• Operate forklifts (stand up electric clamp truck)
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

• No prior warehouse experience required but preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required
• Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required
• Flexible to work overtime preferred
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions required
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

• Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required
