Penske Logistics is seeking a Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team in Shippensburg, PA. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and a positive attitude to excel in a fast-paced environment.

You will load/unload trailers, move materials, scan items, and help maintain quality control while following all safety guidelines. The position offers competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for growth within Penske.

Qualifications

Responsabilités

• Loads and unloads trailers with a stand up electric clamp truck.
• Move materials within the warehouse and ensure proper handling.
• Comply with all safety requirements and wear PPE as needed.
• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system.
• Perform quality control and identify damaged products.
• Communicate with associates on different shifts.
• Read work orders to determine tasks and material needs.
• Record units moved on production sheets and tickets.
• Operate forklifts (stand up electric clamp truck).
• Assist with other projects as assigned by supervisor.

Position Details:

Friday to Sunday 6:00pm-6:30am

• $20.00 base rate + $2.00 shift differential

Job Responsibilities:

• Loads and unloads trailers with a stand up electric clamp truck
• Move materials within the warehouse
• Complies with all safety requirements
• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system
• Quality control
• Ensure damaged products are identified and removed when received
• Communicate with associates from other shifts
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs
• Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets
• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
• Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items
• Operate forklifts (stand up electric clamp truck)
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

• No prior warehouse experience required but preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required
• Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required
• Flexible to work overtime preferred
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions required
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

• Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required
• Complete a Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
