Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking a Forklift Operator to load, unload, move, relocate, and stack items in our warehouse. The role requires attention to detail, safety consciousness, and an outgoing attitude to excel in a fast-paced environment.

Base wage offered is $19.68 per hour with a Monday–Friday schedule, some overtime and occasional Saturdays. Benefits include PTO, medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401K, and associate referral program. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• General Forklift, Clamp Truck, Cherry Picker, Clamp Truck or Reach Truck experience preferred
• No prior warehouse experience required but preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required
• Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required
• Flexible to work overtime preferred
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions required
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Ability to work independently, customer service, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, and time management skills required
• Complete a Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit down counterbalance forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as needed
• Read work orders or receive instructions to determine work assignments and equipment needs
• Loads and unloads trailers; moves materials within the warehouse
• Accurately match numbers & letters
• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system
• Accurately stage and sort products for loading
• Opens and closes dock doors
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Sorts and places parts in racks or other designated areas
• Stacks pallets, bins, totes, etc.
• Complies with all safety requirements
• Shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling as required
