Job Title: Warehouse Assembler

Pay Rate : $19/hr

Shift: Graveyard;

1am - 9:30am (Must be open to WE)

2am – 10:30am (Must be open to WE)

Job Description

Fast paced RF scanning of packages - Efficiently unload and load packages from freight trucks to cargo containers for plane transportation. Assemble the packages inside the cargo container to maximize space and fit the maximum number of packages.

Responsibilities

• Unload and load packages onto cargo containers from trucks. Packages will already be loaded on carts when trucks arrive.

• Break down and remove packages from carts and load them into cargo containers for airline transportation.

• Assemble items 'Tetris style' to maximize package occupancy in cargo containers.

• Place small boxes and mail into larger bags, then load them onto the cargo container.

• Maintain accurate inventory records using scanning and tracking systems.

• Follow safety protocols and conduct quality control checks.

• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively.

Essential Skills

• Experience as a ramp agent, loading/unloading trucks, cargo handler, warehouse packing, material handling, general labor.

• Proficiency with scanners, rf scanners, and inventory tracking.

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

• Reliable transportation to the Sacramento Airport.

• Great attendance with adherence to a strict attendance policy.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Willingness to submit to a background check.

• Must possess steel-toed boots that cover the ankle.

Work Environment

Work on-site at the Sacramento International Airport in a warehouse environment. Conditions vary with seasons, being hot in summer and cold in winter. Shifts are from 1am to 9:30am and 2am to 10:30am, with a requirement to be open to working weekends.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sacramento, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
