Job Description

Responsible for maintaining the needs of the warehouse while ensuring a safe, clean, and productive work environment for self and other team members.

Responsibilities

Job Duties: Essential functions of the job including duties and responsibilities:

1. Load and unload materials onto or from trucks, trailers, pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand or forklift, understanding product and vehicle dimensions for efficient layout. Assistance may be required for heavy items.
2. Perform loading procedures including shoring, banding, air bags, and section protection with minimal damage.
3. Verify outgoing shipment information against bills of lading, orders, or records, including counting, weighing, or measuring items.
4. Prepare necessary paperwork, tag products, and check bills of lading and material lists.
5. Count and record the number of units handled daily, and prepare inventory cycle count reports.
6. Attach tags or labels to materials and mark information on containers.
7. Read production schedules, customer orders, and load plans to determine and gather items, following oral instructions as needed.
8. Modify products as needed, including glazing, cutting, spring customization, or hardware assembly.
9. Inspect handling environment and equipment for defects, notifying maintenance as needed.
10. Handle returned goods and damaged products, returning items to stock and processing paperwork.
11. Fill orders accurately and assemble materials with minimal mistakes.
12. Stack or bundle materials for shipment, and assemble packaging materials as needed.
13. Operate forklift and other equipment safely and efficiently under limited conditions.
14. Follow all safety policies, including OSHA guidelines.
15. Understand and adhere to quality standards and communicate effectively with team members and customers.
16. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
17. Assist in preparing shipments and using barcode systems as required.
18. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related warehouse experience or training; or equivalent.

Additional Requirements: Must hold a driver’s license and forklift certification.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Work may be outdoors with moderate noise levels. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, stooping, climbing, and other physical activities as detailed.
