Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is seeking an energetic Warehouse Worker in Louisville, KY. You will participate in distribution and receiving, and help ensure accurate inventories and timely shipments.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods, and adapting to temperature extremes. A strong work ethic and ability to multitask are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Previous large food warehouse experience is preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work in temperature extremes and humidity.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all functions of the distribution and receiving for the warehouse.
• Receive products coming into the warehouse and verify quantity and description.
• Assemble and fill orders to be shipped and stock incoming orders.
• Maintain accurate physical inventories and ensure timely distribution and receiving.
• Communicate any issues to management (safety, cleanliness, or security).

Duties & Responsibilities

• Participate in all functions of the distribution and receiving for the warehouse
• Receive products coming into the warehouse
• Verify quantity and description of products
• Assemble and fill orders to be shipped
• Stock incoming orders
• Maintain accurate physical inventories
• Ensure all distribution and receiving in a timely and orderly manner
• Follow proper receiving procedures
• Comply with all AVI policies and procedures, including but not limited to security procedures
• Communicate any issues of concern to management (i.e. cleanliness, safety concerns, or security concerns)

Requirements

• Previous large food warehouse experience is preferred
• Great work ethic
• Ability to be exposed to temperature extremes and humidity
• Ability to maintain a fast pace and multi-task
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time
