Aerotek in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Warehouse Worker to support shipping and receiving in a manufacturing environment. You will handle material flow, update inventory, and operate equipment to ensure accurate shipments.

This role supports the shipping and receiving department by handling the flow of materials, updating inventory systems, and operating warehouse equipment to ensure an efficient and accurate shipping process within a manufacturing environment.
Receive incoming materials and verify quantities and documentation against shipping and receiving records.
Pick and pull orders accurately according to work orders and production schedules.
Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging, palletizing, and shrink wrapping products to meet shipping standards.
Update warehouse and inventory systems to reflect material movements, shipments, and receipts in a timely and accurate manner.
Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and other material handling tools, to move, load, and unload materials safely.
Stage, organize, and label materials in designated storage areas to maintain orderly and efficient warehouse operations.
Inspect materials and packaging for visible damage or discrepancies and report issues to the appropriate personnel.
Support the shipping process by printing labels, organizing documentation, and ensuring shipments are ready for carrier pickup.
Follow established safety procedures and guidelines while handling materials and operating equipment.
Collaborate with team members and other departments to maintain smooth material flow throughout the facility.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Hands‑on experience with shipping and receiving activities.
Proficiency in order picking and order pulling.
Ability to perform shrink wrapping of pallets and products.
Experience with palletizing and preparing materials for shipment.
Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
Capability to update and work with warehouse or inventory systems.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order fulfillment and documentation.
Ability to follow safety procedures and handle materials safely.
Previous experience in an aerospace or similar high‑precision manufacturing environment is beneficial.
Familiarity with packaging standards for industrial or manufacturing products.
Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced warehouse setting.
