Job description

We are hiring for a Warehouse Associate-Level 1 position in the Hazleton Area.

Pre-employment Drug Screening and Background Checks are required.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect Material Handling Equipment (MHE) for wear or damage and complete pre-operational checklists to ensure safety.
• Report maintenance or repair issues related to building, vehicles, and equipment to supervision.
• Follow safe work practices, including wearing PPE and proper material handling techniques.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment through good housekeeping and GMP practices.
• Freight Picking:
  • Complete freight orders using freight pick lists, verifying SKU and case counts.
  • Use “Count back” procedures and RF scanners to ensure accuracy and manage inventory.
  • Ensure freight is damage-free and properly palletized.
  • Handle loose or damaged cases according to procedures.
• Transport In/Out:
  • Use WMS to identify drop zones or staging areas.
  • Inspect pallets for damage and stability.
• Transport Out:
  • Ensure pallets are even, spaced properly, and double-stacked if necessary.
• Transport In:
  • Place pallets one bay off for efficient put-away.
• Operate various material handling equipment, including forklifts, turret, slip sheet machines, and rider-walkies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Attention to detail and basic math skills.
• Ability to work at heights up to 40 ft.
• Ability to work in cold storage (40°F).
• Operate warehouse equipment and RF scanners.
• Lift 35-50 lbs. frequently and up to 75 lbs. occasionally.
• Meet DOT sight and hearing requirements.
• Read and interpret safety and operational documents.
• Work overtime including weekends as needed.
• Work independently while maintaining quality and productivity standards.
