Job summary

Alloy Fasteners, Inc is seeking a results-driven Warehouse VMI Lead to head operations at our MO distribution facility. The role oversees all VMI functions, from packing to shipping and receiving, while coaching and developing a team to meet company objectives and deliver excellent customer service.

The successful candidate will manage daily shipping goals, maintain VMI accountability, and ensure compliance with ISO programs and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to VMI warehouse staff to achieve daily shipping goals and ensure smooth, efficient facility operations
• Maintain full VMI accountability for purchasing, receiving, shipping, and inventory activities at the branch
• Ensure excellent customer service standards are met, respond efficiently to customer and sales team inquiries, and support high customer satisfaction
• Oversee training and ongoing development for all new and existing employees
• Ensure compliance with the ISO Quality Program, safety standards, and company policies
• Collaborate closely with the sales team to support customer needs and new business opportunities
• Communicate effectively with other branch managers and corporate leadership
• Run and analyze daily operational reports, including open customer orders, open purchase orders, and open transfer orders
• Step in to cover operational needs during employee absences as required
• Ensure the facility, equipment, and supplies are maintained in good working order and that operational needs are anticipated and addressed
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and reduce operational costs

Position Summary

The Warehouse VMI Lead is ultimately accountable for the overall performance, efficiency, and compliance of the MO VMI warehouse operation.
