Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. in Reno, NV is seeking a Verifier/Checker to perform daily receiving tasks, inspect shipments, and verify items and quantities. This full-time role operates Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 7:00 pm and includes a $500 sign-on bonus.

You will verify products, match packing slips to P.O.s, inspect packaging, and use barcodes in the warehouse system. The job involves operating basic equipment, training across departments, and upholding safety and productivity standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Willingness to work overtime to meet customer needs.
• Valid state driver license may be required.
• Internal certification to drive powered equipment within specified time requirements.

Responsibilities

• Verify products and match packing slips to P.O. using item and vendor numbers, descriptions, and quantity through visual inspections, counting, reference manuals or measuring instruments.
• Inspect boxes for damage or improper packaging and resolve item or purchase discrepancies.
• Create and apply bar code labels and scan labels into the warehouse system.
• Handle all incoming inter-warehouse transfers.
• Operate basic powered equipment (pallet jack, forklift) and move products.
• Stage product and prepare boxes for put-away in bins and racks.
• Follow safety guidelines and meet productivity/quality targets.
