Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. in Elkhart, IN is seeking a Warehouse Associate to verify items and inspect shipments, ensuring correct quantities and packaging. You will use barcodes, match packing slips to P.O., and scan labels into the system.

You will also handle inter-warehouse transfers, operate pallet jacks and forklifts, and stage product for put-away while following safety guidelines and meeting productivity targets. This is a full-time role with growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid state driver’s license may be required.
• Basic computer skills needed.
• Willingness to work overtime to meet customer needs.
• Internal certifications to drive powered equipment.
• Internal certifications to pick DOT-regulated items when required.
• Physical requirements include lifting up to 75 pounds and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Verify products and match packing slips to P.O. using item and vendor numbers, descriptions, and quantity through visual inspections, counting, reference manuals or measuring instruments.
• Inspect boxes for damage or improper packaging, and resolve item or purchase discrepancies.
• Create and apply bar code labels using item numbers or purchase orders, and scan labels into warehouse system.
• Handle all incoming inter-warehouse transfers.
• Operate pallet jack and forklift; load/unload and move product manually or using equipment.
• Stage product and prepare boxes for put-away bins and overstock.
• Train cross-functionally to support business requirements.
• Follow safety guidelines and meet productivity and quality targets.
