Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. in Reno, NV is seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our fast-paced distribution team. As a Verifier/Checker, you will verify items against packing slips, inspect shipments, and ensure accuracy in quantity and labeling.

The role operates Monday through Friday from 1:30 pm to 7:30 pm, with a $250 sign-on bonus. You will handle bar code labels, operate pallet jacks and forklifts, and support cross-functional needs to meet customer expectations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to work overtime to meet customer needs.
• Valid state driver’s license where required.
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform manual tasks.

Responsibilities

• Verify products and match packing slips to P.O. numbers using item and vendor numbers, descriptions, and quantity.
• Inspect boxes for damage or improper packaging and resolve discrepancies.
• Create and apply bar code labels and scan into the warehouse system.
• Handle all incoming inter-warehouse transfers.
• Operate basic powered equipment (pallet jack, forklift).
• Stage product for put-away bins, overstock and racks.
• Train cross-functionally to support business requirements.
• Follow safety guidelines and meet productivity and quality expectations.
