Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a warehouse associate to support distribution center operations, moving merchandise by hand or forklift, verifying orders, labeling, palletizing, and replenishing pick areas. You will also load, unload, and document shipments while upholding safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, basic math skills, experience with RF scanners and WMS, and can meet physical requirements such as lifting up to 65 pounds regularly.

Qualifications

• Communication skills to interact with co-workers and management
• Basic math concepts required for counts and totals
• Ability to use a Radio Frequency Unit
• Learn basic operation of motorized merchandise movement equipment
• Maintain annual certification requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience in automated distribution center preferred
• Experience with WMS applications preferred

Responsibilities

• Move merchandise within the distribution center using hand, hand truck, or forklift
• Verify merchandise against orders and document data
• Identify, label, and palletize merchandise
• Replenish pick areas as needed
• Fill orders from stores and transfer to conveyor
• Load cargo into trailers for outbound shipments
• Report damages and vendor issues to supervisor
• Collaborate with supervisor to resolve discrepancies
• Meet safety, productivity, and quality standards
• Perform other duties as assigned
