Job summary

Dollar General is hiring for a warehouse associate to handle merchandise flow in our distribution center. You will move items by hand, on pallet jacks, or with a forklift, and verify orders for accuracy and condition.

Key duties include labeling, palletizing, replenishing pick areas, and preparing shipments while maintaining safety and quality standards. Previous experience in automated DCs or with WMS is a plus, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and reliability.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills for teamwork and reporting
• Basic math for counts and audit checks
• Ability to operate a Radio Frequency (RF) unit
• Ability to learn use of motorized merchandise movement equipment
• Maintain annual certification requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience in automated distribution centers preferred
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) preferred

Responsibilities

• Move merchandise within the distribution center using hand tools, hand truck, or forklift
• Verify received and shipped items against orders; enter data into the terminal
• Identify, label, and palletize merchandise for storage and shipment
• Replenish pick areas per reports and requests
• Prepare orders by moving items from pick slots to conveyors
• Load outgoing goods into trailers from conveyors or trucks
• Report damages or vendor issues to supervisor
• Collaborate with supervisor to resolve discrepancies
• Meet safety, productivity, and quality standards
• Perform related duties as assigned
