Job summary

Nebraska Furniture Mart Inc. seeks a Warehouse Department Trainer to train staff in safe, efficient handling of products and to cover safety, service, and production procedures.

You will deliver training programs, ensure policy compliance, participate in OSHA classes, and support department workflows by prioritizing tasks to meet timelines. This role emphasizes hands-on coaching and adherence to quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must meet minimum age 18 years.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1-year labor or warehouse experience.
• NFM Warehouse experience preferred for internal candidates.
• Lift test requirement: ability to lift, push, pull required weights per established requirements for the department.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and/or early morning hours based on business needs.
• Pre-employment screening includes, but isn’t limited to, criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Monitor identify, report, and take positive steps to correct any safety/security deficiency affecting NFM staff.
• Deliver training programs for employees, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
• Attend OSHA required safety classes and specific training as mandated by NFM (e.g. quality related classes, Service Plus, Back Education, etc.).
• Familiar with workload priorities, ensure timelines are met.
