Job summary

Nebraska Furniture Mart in Omaha, NE is seeking a Warehouse Department Trainer to educate staff on safe, efficient product handling and department methods. This role trains in Safety, Service and Production practices and supports ongoing learning across the warehouse.

You’ll deliver programs, coordinate OSHA-related classes, and align training with company policies to keep operations running smoothly and safely for teams across the department.

Qualifications

• Must meet minimum age requirement of 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1-year labor or warehouse experience.
• NFM Warehouse experience preferred for internal candidates.
• Lift test requirement: ability to lift, push, pull required weights per established requirements for the department.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and/or early morning hours based on business needs.
• Pre-employment screening includes, but isn’t limited to, criminal background check.

Job Description: Your Piece of the Puzzle

As NFM’s Warehouse Department Trainer, you will train new staff in the safe, effective and efficient handling of products following all applicable department methods. Training will consist of all methods for Safety, Service and Production within the department as well as other training as assigned.

Job Duties: A Day in the Life

• Monitor Identify, report, and take positive steps to correct any safety/security deficiency affecting NFM staff
• Manage Deliver training programs for employees, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards
• Plan Attend OSHA required safety classes and specific training as mandated by NFM (e.g. quality related classes, Service Plus, Back Education, etc.)
• Assist Familiar with workload priorities, ensure timelines are met

Pay Range: $18.77 - 22.80 hourly
