Job summary

Interstate Batteries in Missouri is seeking a Warehouse Team Member I to accurately complete distribution center tasks using RF scanning devices and a variety of equipment, including pallet jacks, forklifts, and WMS applications.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading batteries, restocking, and maintaining a safe, clean warehouse environment. You may tag pallets and perform general warehouse duties while learning and growing in a fast-paced team setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.
• No experience required; related warehouse experience preferred.
• Experience with RF/HH equipment, forklift, electric pallet jack and stretch-wrap is a plus.
• Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn systems.

Responsibilities

• Process receiving, transfer, pick, pack and ship transactions.
• Load and unload batteries.
• Restock batteries.

Purpose of Job

The Warehouse Team Member I has the ability to accurately and efficiently complete assigned distribution center tasks using a variety of equipment including RF barcode scanning devices, material handling equipment - electric and manual pallet jacks, stand-up and sit-down forklifts, WMS applications, and other shipping applications.

Job Components

• Accurately process system and manual transactions (receiving, transfer, pick, pack, ship)
• Load and unload batteries
• Restock batteries
• Charge, clean, date and rewrap rotations
• Charge, test, clean, and date adjustment batteries
• Maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment
• Accurately maintain warehouse reporting and claims
• Operate a forklift and maintain a current certification
• Properly tag pallets (for transfer, pick, pack, ship)
• General warehousing duties (such as restocking shelves and housekeeping of assigned areas)
• Ability to multi-task and/or quickly transition from one function/task to the next function/task
• Other warehouse duties as assigned by warehouse distributor management

Qualifications

• High school graduate

• Experience in warehouse operations preferred - including RF/HH equipment, forklift, electric pallet jack and stretch-wrap machine preferably in warehouse environment
• Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems required

• Sense of urgency and well organized
