Responsibilities

• Process receiving, transfer, pick, pack, and ship transactions.

• Restock batteries as needed.
• Charge, clean, date, and rewrap rotations.
• Charge, test, clean, and date batteries.
• Maintain a safe, clean warehouse environment.
• Maintain warehouse reporting and claims.
• Operate a forklift with current certification.
• Tag pallets correctly for transfer, pick, and ship.
• Perform general warehousing duties and housekeeping.
• Multi-task and transition between tasks as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by warehouse management.

Purpose of Job: The Warehouse Team Member I has the ability to accurately and efficiently complete assigned distribution center tasks using a variety of equipment including RF barcode scanning devices, material handling equipment - electric and manual pallet jacks, stand‑up and sit‑down forklifts, WMS applications, and other shipping applications.

Job Components:

• Accurately process system and manual transactions (receiving, transfer, pick, pack, ship)
• Load and unload batteries
• Restock batteries
• Charge, clean, date and rewrap rotations
• Charge, test, clean, and date adjustment batteries
• Maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment
• Accurately maintain warehouse reporting and claims
• Operate a forklift and maintain a current certification
• Properly tag pallets (for transfer, pick, pack, ship)
• General warehousing duties (such as restocking shelves and housekeeping of assigned areas)
• Ability to multi‑task and/or quickly transition from one function/task to the next function/task
• Other warehouse duties as assigned by warehouse distributor management

Qualifications:

• High school graduate
• Written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills
• No experience required.
• Experience in warehouse operations preferred - including RF/HH equipment, forklift, electric pallet jack and stretch-wrap machine preferably in warehouse environment
• Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems required
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Sense of urgency and well organized

• Interacts professionally within the warehouse distributor team
• Interacts professionally with all other departments and team members
• Accountable for individual accuracy and commitment to learning from mistakes
• Operate with integrity and demonstrate a positive attitude

Work Environment:

• Be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs, without assistance and occasionally lifting up to 75lbs
• Consistent walking or walking during shift
• Repetitive taping of boxes
• Overtime required as deemed necessary
• Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required
• Exposed to battery warehouse conditions, such as exposure to moving equipment, mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals
