Job summary

Interstate All Battery Center is seeking a Warehouse Team Member I to perform distribution center tasks using RF barcode scanning devices and various handling equipment. Responsibilities include receiving, transferring, picking, packing, shipping, and accurately handling batteries.

You will load/unload, restock, charge, test, clean, and date batteries, while maintaining a safe and organized warehouse. Candidates should be detail-oriented with good computer skills and a sense of urgency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required or equivalent.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
• No experience required, but warehouse experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with RF equipment, pallet jacks, and stretch-wrap machines preferred.
• Ability to learn applicable systems and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process system and manual transactions (receiving, transfer, pick, pack, ship).
• Load and unload batteries.
• Restock batteries and rotate stock.
• Charge, clean, and rewrap rotations; test and date batteries.
• Maintain a clean, safe warehouse environment and accurate reporting.
• Operate a forklift and maintain certification; tag pallets for transfer.
• Perform general warehouse duties and multi-task as needed.

Purpose of Job

The Warehouse Team Member I has the ability to accurately and efficiently complete assigned distribution center tasks using a variety of equipment including RF barcode scanning devices, material handling equipment - electric and manual pallet jacks, stand-up and sit-down forklifts, WMS applications, and other shipping applications.

Job Components

• Accurately process system and manual transactions (receiving, transfer, pick, pack, ship)
• Load and unload batteries
• Restock batteries
• Charge, clean, date and rewrap rotations
• Charge, test, clean, and date adjustment batteries
• Maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment
• Accurately maintain warehouse reporting and claims
• Operate a forklift and maintain a current certification
• Properly tag pallets (for transfer, pick, pack, ship)
• General warehousing duties (such as restocking shelves and housekeeping of assigned areas)
• Ability to multi-task and/or quickly transition from one function/task to the next function/task
• Other warehouse duties as assigned by warehouse distributor management

Qualifications

• High school graduate
• Written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills
• No experience required.
• Experience in warehouse operations preferred - including RF/HH equipment, forklift, electric pallet jack and stretch-wrap machine preferably in warehouse environment
• Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems required
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Sense of urgency and well organized
