Job summary

Bluegrass Supply Chain is seeking a Warehouse Team Leader for the PM shift in Columbus, Ohio. This hands-on leadership role oversees daily warehouse activities across receiving, inventory, movement, and shipping, ensuring safety, accuracy, and on-time delivery.

You will coach and develop team members, conduct audits, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining a clean, safe work environment on the floor. Strong communication and organizational skills are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of warehouse or logistics experience.
• Previous leadership experience preferred.
• Sit-down forklift experience strongly preferred.

Warehouse Team Leader - PM Shift

Location: Columbus, OH
Starting Pay: $22.00 per hour

About the Role

Bluegrass Supply Chain is hiring a dependable, hands-on Warehouse Team Leader to support our PM shift in Columbus, Ohio.

This role leads daily warehouse activities across receiving, inventory, material movement, order preparation, and shipping while working alongside the team to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.

The Team Leader also plays a key role in quality and process compliance, conducting audits, quality checks, and team member observations while providing coaching and identifying opportunities for improvement.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and coordinate daily warehouse activities and priorities
• Assign work and ensure customer requirements are completed on time
• Work alongside team members and provide hands-on support
• Monitor productivity, quality, safety, and inventory accuracy
• Conduct process audits, quality checks, and team observations
• Coach team members and reinforce processes and expectations
• Identify errors, process gaps, and quality concerns before they impact the customer
• Support receiving, put-away, picking, inventory control, and shipping activities
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and assist with cycle counts
• Verify product, loads, trailers, equipment, and documentation for accuracy and safety
• Train new and existing team members on warehouse processes
• Communicate operational issues, staffing needs, and customer concerns to warehouse leadership
• Participate in shift meetings and communicate priorities to the team
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and accountable work environment

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics experience preferred
• Previous Team Lead, Lead Associate, or leadership experience preferred
• Sit-down forklift experience strongly preferred
• Experience with receiving, shipping, and inventory processes
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to lead, coach, and hold team members accountable
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills; WMS or inventory system experience preferred
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
• Commitment to safety and customer service

What Your Workday Looks Like

This is a hands-on leadership position with most of your time spent on the warehouse floor. You’ll work directly with team members, monitor operations, conduct audits and observations, verify quality, and help keep the shift moving according to plan. The warehouse environment may include varying temperatures, equipment traffic, and normal warehouse noise. The role requires regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.
