Job summary

Kenco Logistics is seeking a Warehouse Lead in Chattanooga to coach and train warehouse associates, covering shipping/receiving, inventory control, and general warehouse functions. The Lead provides backup to the supervisor and ensures safety practices and uptime.

This role emphasizes hands-on leadership, PIT operation, and process compliance to keep operations running smoothly and safely in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred and be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Minimum 2 years prior warehouse/distribution operations experience and 6 months leadership or supervisory experience and/or training in a distribution environment.
• Must be a licensed forklift operator or be able to obtain a Forklift Operator license.

Responsibilities

• Train new warehouse associates and forklift drivers and conduct PIT and annual recertification training.
• Conduct inspections and performance observations to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Safely operate powered industrial equipment to move products and materials for distribution.
• Complete paperwork per SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in inventory/cycle counts and report variances to leadership.
• Provide backup to supervisor and other warehouse roles as needed.
