Job summary

Kenco Logistics is seeking a Warehouse Lead in Chattanooga to coach and train warehouse associates, oversee daily tasks, and provide backup to supervision. The role includes safety training, inventory support, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.

The position requires leadership experience in a warehouse setting, forklift certification, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent; background check and drug screen.
• 2+ years warehouse/distribution operations experience and 6 months leadership or supervisory experience in a distribution environment.
• Must be a licensed forklift operator or able to obtain a Forklift Operator license.

Responsibilities

• Train new warehouse associates and forklift drivers and conduct PIT and annual recertification training.
• Conduct EIP, performance, and maintenance observations.
• Safely operate powered industrial equipment to move products for distribution; load, unload, and store materials.
• Complete paperwork (shipping/tracking labels) per SOPs and regulatory agencies (DOT, IATA, IMDG).
• Participate in inventory/cycle counts and report variances to leadership.
• Perform daily forklift inspections per Safety Checklist; keep facility inspection-ready for SQFI, FDA, and customers.
• Communicate and report incidents to supervisor; ensure product rotation procedures are followed.
• Review and analyze daily production reports; serve as backup to other warehouse roles.
