Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials NA is seeking a Warehouse Team Lead I to manage activities on the warehouse floor, train staff, and coordinate operations with onsite management. You will ensure customer requirements are met while adhering to quality and safety processes.

The role requires leading a team of up to 15, fostering organization, safety, and efficient shift start routines. Daily duties include ensuring tools, PPE, and documentation are in place, and interacting with customers to support service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a team lead or supervisor.
• Strong leadership and multi-tasking ability.
• Ability to manage a team of up to 15 people.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work various shifts including nights and weekends.
• Experience in automotive or industrial setting is a plus.
• Comfortable using scanners and tablets for data entry.
• Customer and vendor interaction experience.
• Basic reading/writing/speaking English; computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inspection process and product inspections for assigned tables.
• Lead by example with organization and housekeeping across the facility.
• Ensure safety compliance with health and safety policies.
• Report accidents or incidents immediately to a supervisor.
• Coordinate shift start activities and required duties.
• Ensure tools and materials are available for on-site jobs.
• Provide on-the-job training for new instructions.
• Accountability for personnel assigned to specific jobs.
• Provide input to Onsite Manager on objectives and tasks.
• Report policy or procedure violations.
• Participate in health and safety initiatives.
• Interact with customers daily/weekly/monthly to ensure satisfaction.
• Ensure documentation is completed daily.
• Maintain tool kits, PPE, and materials for job completion.
• Comply with customer and tk regulations and work rules.
• Maintain customer site badge access where required.
• Perform cycle time studies to assist with new job quoting.
• Role operates on warehouse floor near heavy machinery.
