Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials Services seeks a Warehouse Team Lead II to oversee operations during assigned shifts. You will coordinate a team handling receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, while training staff and ensuring quality and safety procedures are followed.

The role emphasizes leadership, adherence to health and safety policies, and input on employee performance. This position is on-site with standard daytime shifts and a focus on efficient warehouse practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a supervisor, team lead or mentor.
• Ability to foster teamwork between diverse activities.
• Ability to manage a large employee base with crossover into various assigned shifts.
• Excellent organizational, decision-making, and analytical thinking skills.
• Effective communication, EQ, decisiveness and adaptability.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods; follow instructions clearly.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example; professionalism and organization in warehouse activities.
• Set day-to-day operational objectives for the team.
• Direct and monitor warehouse activities related to movement, storage, and inventory.
• Oversee shifts and ensure completion of work and safety compliance.
• Coordinate start-up and end-of-shift activities; ensure tools and materials are available.
• Provide on-the-job training for new work instructions.
• Report performance and safety issues to supervisors/managers.
