Job summary

Thyssenkrupp Supply Chain Services, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Team Lead I to manage activities in the work area and provide on-the-job training as needed.

You will interact with Customer management levels and ensure requirements are met while following quality and safety processes. Key duties include coordinating shift start activities, ensuring tools and materials are available, and maintaining safe, organized work areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a team lead or supervisor.
• Strong leadership and multi-tasking ability.
• Ability to manage a team of up to 15 people.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Reliable attendance is essential.
• Experience in automotive or industrial setting is an asset.
• Comfortable working with scanners and tablets for data keeping and time entries.
• Must read, write and speak basic English.
• Computer literate, able to utilize MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and email software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the inspection process, and the inspection of customer products for the assigned tables.
• Lead by example, be organized, and practice good housekeeping in all areas of the facility.
• Ensure all employees work safely and in accordance with health and safety policies.
• Report accidents or incidents immediately to a supervisor.
• Coordinate shift start activities (table requirements, paperwork, duties).
• Ensure tools and materials are available for completion of jobs on site.
• Provide on-the-job training for new work instructions when applicable.
• Be accountable for personnel assigned to specific jobs.
• Interact with the customer on a daily/weekly/monthly basis to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain documentation and paperwork daily.
• Ensure toolkits, PPE and materials are available for jobs.
• Comply with customer and tk regulations and work rules.
• Perform cycle time studies to help with quoting new jobs.
