Job summary

Ascentek is seeking a Warehouse Lead to supervise daily shipping, receiving and material handling, ensuring safety, accuracy, and on-time delivery.

You will train teammates, assign work, and support the supervisor while upholding 5S standards and driving continuous improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates must have forklift certification, 3+ years in warehousing, and experience with JD Edwards or similar ERP.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of warehouse or logistics experience.
• 1–2 years in a leadership, lead, or trainer role.
• Forklift certification required or able to obtain within 30 days.
• HAZMAT shipping knowledge or certification.
• Experience in chemical, petroleum, or manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, picking, and material movement.
• Lead teammates in completing orders accurately and on schedule to meet customer expectations.
• Train and coach warehouse teammates on safety practices, equipment operation, and standard work procedures.
• Serve as the on-shift point of contact when the supervisor is unavailable, providing direction and problem-solving support.
• Ensure all safety, quality, and environmental policies are followed including PPE, forklift safety, and spill response procedures.
• Monitor and verify accuracy of transactions in ERP or WMS systems to maintain inventory integrity.
• Conduct cycle counts and support corrective actions to resolve discrepancies.
• Track daily performance metrics and share results with leadership.
