Job summary

thyssenkrupp is seeking a Warehouse Team Lead I to manage and coordinate activities on the warehouse floor. You will provide on-the-job training, interact with customers and management, and ensure timely completion of work while adhering to quality and safety processes. You may advise the onsite manager on performance and objectives.

The role emphasizes leadership, safety, and hands-on supervision in a warehouse environment with direct customer contact on a daily/weekly basis.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a team lead or supervisor.
• Strong leadership and multi-tasking ability.
• Ability to manage a team of up to 15 people.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work days, afternoons, nights, overtime and weekend shifts.
• Reliable attendance is essential.
• Experience in automotive or industrial setting is an asset with training offered.
• Comfortable working with scanners and tablets for data keeping and time entries.
• Professional interactions with customers and/or vendors.
• Must read, write and speak basic English.
• Computer literate with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email.
• Safety Mindset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the inspection process and inspect customer products for the assigned tables.
• Lead by example, stay organized and maintain housekeeping in all areas.
• Ensure all employees work safely and follow health and safety policies.
• Report accidents or incidents immediately to a supervisor.
• Coordinate shift start activities (table requirements, paperwork, duties).
• Ensure tools and materials are available to complete jobs onsite.
• Provide on-the-job training for new work instructions when applicable.
• Be accountable for all personnel assigned to specific jobs.
• Provide input to Onsite Manager on completion of objectives and tasks.
• Report policy or procedure violations to Onsite Manager.
• Participate in health and safety initiatives and requirements.
• Interact with the customer regularly to ensure satisfaction.
• Ensure proper documentation and paperwork are submitted daily.
• Ensure tool kits, PPE and materials are available for job completion.
