Job summary

Community Coffee is seeking a Lead Warehouse Attendant to support daily warehouse operations and oversee inventory control, shipping, and receiving. You will provide informal training and guidance while ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency across activities.

The role emphasizes teamwork in a fast-paced environment, with responsibilities spanning order auditing, stock management, and coordinating outbound shipments. A strong safety mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; aptitude test may be used in lieu.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant warehouse experience.
• Ability to read safety manuals and procedures.
• Forklift, hoist, and hand/power tool operation skills.
• Familiar with CFR 110, cGMP, and AIB food safety standards.
• SAP or WMS experience preferred.
• Pre-employment physical required.
• Internal: Experience with Community Coffee may fulfill this requirement at discretion of hiring manager.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily warehouse tasks and workflow management.
• Support layout planning based on turnover, size, and weight.
• Analyze inventory records for slow-moving or excess stock.
• Review documents for accuracy and stock level adequacy.
• Schedule and support periodic inventories.
• Investigate discrepancies and trace item history.
• Provide on-the-job guidance and informal training.
• Coordinate outbound shipments for timely delivery.
• Contribute ideas to improve procedures and efficiency.
• May oversee daily shipping/receiving and forklift operations.
• May manage WMS picking and put-away strategies.
• May handle receipt of purchased goods and related paperwork.
• Lead daily safety and operational huddles.
• Perform core warehouse duties (loading, auditing, stacking, counts, forklifts).
• Perform additional duties as needed.
