Job summary

ID Logistics in Henrico, VA is seeking a hands-on Team Lead to supervise our high-volume warehouse operations. You will lead teams, ensure safety, quality, and productivity, and coordinate workflow with staff and supervisors to meet daily deadlines.

The role requires leadership, warehouse experience, and strong communication skills; night shifts have a $2.00/hour differential. Benefits include 401K with match and health coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some college-level study preferred.
• Two to five years of experience in a high-volume warehouse.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• PC computer skills and ability to complete routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees or customers.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to solve practical problems and work with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support activities in assigned areas to ensure work is completed accurately, safely, and on schedule.
• Monitor workflow, product handling, labeling, and order preparation for quality and compliance with established procedures.
• Assist with training and guiding team members on safety rules, operating instructions, and standard work practices.
• Communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, and other leadership roles regarding priorities, workflow issues, and operational needs.
• Identify and help resolve routine problems in a practical and timely manner.
• Complete routine documentation, reports, and related computer-based tasks accurately.
• Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
